*cue evil laughter* Muah-ha-ha!
Little do they know, upon entering class the next day and being presented with photos of their previous sculptures, students are now challenged to DRAW their 3D forms using a variety of pencils and charcoal to create value on their 2D papers. There's usually a lot of shocked gasps and whiney "I wouldn't have made it so complicated if I knew you were gonna make us draw it!" complaints but, once they really get into shading, squinting to find the darkest darks, and erasing to create the lightest lights, students are pretty impressed with themselves and what they made!
