Current Mood: tired... is it possible that I am still jet-lagged?
Current Triumph: I got all my grades in for the summer semester of Art History I taught online! I'm pretty freakin thrilled about that considering I kept up with it for two weeks while I was across the ocean with crappy Wifi! Woohoo!
Current Bane of my Existence: This summer is over already! Back to school prep has begun and I don't feel like I really got a break at all. It was all wonderful stuff, don't get me wrong, but this has been the busiest summer I think I've ever experienced! *phew*
Current Artist I'm Diggin': Still thinking about that artist I met in Rome, peddling her wares (like, literaly PEDALing). I know she had an etsy shop but for the life of me I can't find it. I just love that she used whatever she had to make art (painting and drawing on the back of cereal boxes and pieces of cardboard) and whatever she touched just turned out so beautiful. Really inspiring.
Current Product/Tool/Material/Technique: simple sketchbook and ballpoint pen... you can art anywhere!!!
Current Color Palette: mustard and shades of green.... guess who just dyed her hair again?!?
Current Music: This oldy but goody for some reason... "You Gotta Be"
Current Food: Drinks with ice! I don't care what is it, I just want it COLD! There are apparently, like, no refrigerators in Europe and I still can't get over all the simple pleasures we take for granted here in America!
Current Movie/TV Show: The Big Bang Theory hubby and I have been binge watching ever since i got home!
Current Book: I know this is sad but I JUST finished that Wild and Free book. Any future recommendations?
Current Guilty Pleasure: using the bathroom in public places and not having to pay for it.... another European luxury apparently! Did you know that that bathroom "tax" was what paid for the construction of the Colloseum?! Fun fact. :P
Current Need: A few days alone in my classroom. Pretty sure that's all any teacher wants at the beginning of the school year!
Current Want: To live closer to where I work so I didn't have to get up SO early just to make it in time!!!
Currently Studying: about baptism. I want to be really grounded in my convictions because I understand what the bible says, not just because certain churches have different traditions. Acts 2:38 - And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
